Toyota Rip Off!

Ok - its not a surf... but toyota have just quoted me £1000+ for changing the driveshafts on my yaris (which incidentally has only done 40,000 miles)... my local garage will do it for £400!

How can they justify that sort of mark up!? And who actually pays them!???

That is called LABOUR mate. They charge a kings ransome per hour labour. Your local garage is probably charging you for the job, not per hour. You can do it yourself. I did on my peugeot 106 I used to own. Why do they need changing after only 40,000 miles?
