yeah, don't think the police would be too bothered unless they were being picky... but it'll fail an MOT
The car spares place by the fire station has them for about a fiver. I just treat them as disposable items. I think you need one for an MOT, but at other times it would only be an offence in fog?
used to knock mine off about once a month! I just extended the cable up to the reverse light in the tail lights (I don't have an underslung spare), and swapped the reverse light for a red fog light bulb. Not sure how easy this is if you've got underslung spare because your reverse lights would be in the tailgate wouldn't they?
