Rear Window Motor Gear Box

I have had a slow/sticking rear window after I oiled and greased everthing all OK for a couple of months. It has finally stopped so I took the motor/gearbox off. The motor turns OK but when pressure is applied to restrict the motor it still wirrs but does not turn. Is there some form of slipping clutch or do I have to change the whole motor gearbox.

Temp Fix

Thank you got it off and took apart looked ok but parted rubber and metal disc glued back together and hey presto window now goes up and down again . I read on the site someware that another Toyota motor gearbox will fit the Surf anybody knows what model and year ?

The glue failed on mine after two days so I drilled right through the nylon gear, the rubber wheel and the metal disc and put three nuts and bolts through.

It's a Corolla , don't know what year tho, it's the passenger side rear door motor.

I replaced mine at the weekend with a Toyota Space Cruiser motor assy. Cost me £20. I think nearly any Toyota elec. window motor will fit as long as it's from the nearside doors. My last one was from a Daihatsu or Isuzu. All Denso gear must be the same!
