I dropped the tailgate, wound out and supported the window, and then poured kettle after kettle of boiling water over it.

it came of easy enough and I cleaned off the sticky with petrol and one of those green panscrubs. However quite a lot of the water went down inside the tailgate and I have to re-grease, so carefull.

Mine started to fold at the bottom and everytime I undid the window it would drag the rubber seal down withit which made it get stuck! Had to get butter knife out to get seal back up to do window up.

The marks are where someones carried stuff and its scratched and marked the film, The urban sporty 4x4 produced by toyota just sounds a bit cheese'y,
I was a bit worried that s$$$$eing the film off might bugga up the window
heater element, or is it sandwiched in the glass, The one on my old serria was
                  just stuck on,

                      Window film - steamer easy

Hi I know this reply is long after the original but I used a wallpaper steamer and the film came off easy, the heated rear window worked fine aswell. Some websites say use amonia but the wallpaper stripper is the best
