Knocking noise
I am having problems with my 1993 4runner, on acceleration there is a whirring sound and it seems unable to reach anymore than 60 mph. Has anyone had the same problem know of someone with toyota knowledge in the leeds area. I have found a number of small garages in leeds who specialise in certian makes but not toyota?.

Have a word with chequered flag they are wicked with surfs / 4 runners give em a ring on 0113 2711366 if you Ask for Steve and say Stuart (green ltd surf) sent you he will look after you.... they know what they are doing... i think its jct 5 on the 621 but they will let ya know...Originally posted by Kev Barker

Cheers i found the problem some teeth on the vacum pump have sheared, i have got it off but teeth are also damaged on the cog it sits in started taking it to bits tonight.Originally posted by amethyst

disagree with that, since somebody applied computers to cars the whole thing has been a mass of confusion, sister couldnt even get a tow-start tonight because her flat battery was locking the automatic handbrake on, in the truck world I think the Scania 3 series is the last great thing since sliced bread
