I know that there are some computer buffs on here so can anybody tell me how to add a shortcut to my desktop when using Firefox.
With I.E I just right click then click on add shortcut but Firefox doesn't seem to have the same feature.

OK, I can click and drag the icon, but where too?
If I am on the website how do I get the icon on to my desktop?

Alternatively, click in the address bar to highlight the web address, and hit CTRL + C to copy it.
Then go to your desktop - minimise everything with [Windows key] + E - and right-click in a blank area, and select New, then Shortcut.
When the shortcut wizard comes up with the "Type the location of the item" dialogue box, click in the box and hit CTRL + V to paste in the address you just copied.
        Click Next.
Fill in the "Type the name for the shortcut" box.
        Click Finish.

Job done, assuming you have Firefox set as your default Web Browser.

Thanks Captain, job done, seems a long way round compared to IE but achieves the same end.

          Thanks again
