Looks like it bolts onto towbar fitment,surely it'll only add to existing overhang??

The rear bar connects directly to the chassis. All brackets etc. are supplied with the bar. This bar will fit all HI Lux pick ups and Hi lux surf models up to 1995. regards, Rob

Tony has no bumper on his Mk1 4runner... but he does have a quite meaty "modified" towbar

I have a rear bumper on my 1st gen , its called a towbar . Ask Mrs Patel how it feels to bump into it .
