Engine Check Light

Today coming home from work the engine check light came on for abot 2 secs then went out. Is this just a glitch in the electrics somewhere or does it tell me theres a problem somewhere?

try checking for fault codes... there's instructions how somewhere (in FAQ i think)

You can do the shortin of the pins [mentioned somewhere] to check the diagnostics.

Sometimes the Exhaust Gases recirculating can sometimes get too much and starve the engine...you engine light comes on.

isnt it te1 and e1 you short across in the diagnostics box.
