        3 Generations in this country
1st, 2nd gen come on 15" rims and have a tailgate that comes down once the window is retracted. 3rd Gen has a estate style tailgate.

        Engines - Models
        2.4L - LN120,
        3.0L 2nd Gen - KZN130,
        3.0L 3rd Gen - KZN185
        V6 engines - KZVE ?

Colours: Gun-metal grey, white, silver, blue, black, white, green with some being 'two-tone' like Green over silver [body and arches]

Most 3rd gens seem to be Blue
Gun-metal Grey only seen on 2.4L

3rd Gens have centre diff so u can use the 4x4 on hard surfaces, other generations u cant use on hard surfaces in 4x4

2.4L and V6 engines seem to be known for head problems [mainly 2.4L]. So go for a 3.0L or make sure you av a certificate for the head replacement

Options are numerous, Japan lives off accessories. U can put two of the same model together & they will be different

Sadly Toyota have seen fit not to equip Surfs with those flappy airvents under the windscreen that let wasps hit you in the crotch after you have poked things through the silly mesh that are so beloved of Landrovers. Other than that the Surf has more goodies than a Defender has pop rivets.
Parts of your engine go up, stop then go back! Mm!

It doesn't matter what colour it is, as long as your inside it. You only find out the colour as and when you wash it.
            i like it muddy!
