  • MOT pass

Well pleased! My 20 year old 1st gen. truck passed it`s MOT this morning!
This is what I did for prep.:
    Greased propshafts and ball-joints.
Wax body and jet-wash engine bay and under-carriage.
    Replaced broken rear fog-lamp.
Was expecting to spend a bit more and I`m now going to treat her to some goodies from Roughtrax.

    Hi,

    Nice one!

Could you please explain, in detail, how you jet washed the engine bay?

    Thanks!

Open bonnet, spray some engine degreaser, keep engine running and jetwash. I`m careful with the spray-lance not to spray directly into electrical boxes, air-intake etc and I try and spray only the main engine block, rocker-cover, sills, inner-wings etc. I then drive straight away so excess water is expelled. I dont do this very often though as its probably a bad idea like jet-washing motocross bikes too much removes grease from bearings etc.
      cheers,
