You can get an online quote for any vehocle so long as it is in the database that they make available for online quotes.

This particular insurer may classify imports as a special case and be prepared only to give quotes after a detailed discussion, but other insurers my choose to apply a standard risk to a Surf and allow online quoting.

To be fair to my insurance company, they don't cover imports. When i phoned up to get a quote before i bought it, they put it down wrong. They gave me the price so i went ahead got the car and got the insurance. When i got the papers through i phoned them to explane it was a surf, not as they thought it was called a toyota import. They said because it was on their system now they would carry on insuring it.
I thought that was fair and they didn't rip me off for their mistake.

Has anyone got a policy that covers for 4x4 events??????? My policy says i'm not,but don't know if they would cover to take it off roading.
        Hi,

I'm with lifesure.co.uk - £274 fully comp - and they knew all about surfs - no probs with them.

They do not cover off road events - I think you'll be lucky to get anyone to take on that type of risk........
