  • New 2006 Hilux Surf

    Hi Guys,

Check this new 2006 Hilux Surf

I don't understand why don't Toyota sell this in the UK? They know there is a demand for it. May be there are too lazy! Unbelievable!!

Have their design team been asleep for the last 10 years, it doesn't look that different from my '96 one.
Parts of your engine go up, stop then go back! Mm!

Sorry I was wrong it is a 2003 model. Someone on www.autotrader.co.uk is selling one for £13,995. The advert doesn't say anything about the engine.

Looks nice. Looks like it is made for the north american/japan market. http://www.toyota.com/4runner/index...._4RUNNER_INDEX

i agree. 4runners are quite popular in the US.

1st gen still looks miles better....and will still be alive years after the new plastic ones melt to death in the global heating crisis we're all going to suffer (allegedly)

i swear, it was like that when i got here...

                  Wow
check out the different views on the link
                  3rd row seating available
                  the dash looks great
I like the fact that it hasn't strayed to far from the classic look
maybe in 10yrs time I'll be able to afford one!

Look like a family car, not as rough and ready as the 1st nd 2nd gens.
                    i like it muddy!

how about this one then? apparently its built on a "modified" land cruiser prado chassis, as is the latest for-runner/surf,

personaly from what i've seen/read in the US offroad press, i would like one, in about 10 years time when it may be cheap enough to offroad. hope fully toyota will sell it in japan with a diesel so "we" can import them!

                          just thrown up!!!

looks like cross between new mini/fiat ulyssee and a freelander...i can't understand how this plasticy looking lego car shape nonsense has caught on...

an offroader should look like it could hit a log, you get out pull the dent out and carry on, not you hit a log and have to fill the back up with the front end...

                          deffo not for me
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

Which a good thing, most new cars are just pants to look at.

Toyota would have to ditch the Colorado to sell the 4Runner, they only introduced the 2nd Gen from 93-95 to cover the gap till the Colorado was ready, but they sell to many to the school run mums to do ever that.

In my opinion, the 4x4 range would be much better as Rav4-4Runner-Land Cruiser Amazon, instead of the Colorado.

I was hoping that the chinese would get on and start importing their version of the second gen as that would be cool but then I read this:

                              not so sure now
