        well im buying mine 2nd hand of a mate of a mate of mine. i think its the starter one, but im not sure where to mount my magnetic antenna
        Any suggestions?

              Mines on the rear wheel carrier, Best place is in the middle of the roof then you get a good ground plane. But its a bit high and you might loose your arial

                Middle of the roof is the best place for a short mag mount antenna. If you go full length (8'6") the best place is on the spare wheel carrier with a mirror or rail mount..................and don't forget a heavy duty shock spring mount to save the aerial when bouncing it off trees.
                It's only a hobby!
