  • Pressure test?

Just wondering what is involved in gettin a pressure test done?? Might book in to loacal garage on Friday

Gettin paranoid again about Head problems and thinkin of gettin the pressure checked. Thought there was excessive white smoke last night as i reversed back and let it idle, after about a 20 min run.
Took it to work this morning and before i left the yard tonight i left it running for about 20 mins to get upto temp and no sign of any smoke of any description. Drove home 5 min run and no sign of smoke......aargh. whats going on?????

Anyway what about the pressure test procedure,

    Cheers

mines been kicking out a bit of whitish smoke recently, but examination today revealed turbo seals shagged and turbo churning lots of oil into inlet housing. i don't know if that is the only cause as i thought it'd be more black smoke than anything else, but i don't know if my head is going, theres no oil in water or v.versa and its not overheating. heaters work good etc...have to wait and see what happens when i put it all back together with working turbo i guess.
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

Make sure you ge the coolant tested for combustion gasses, just pressure testing the system doesn't often show up small cracks that are virtually closed unless the engine is really hot.

Not hi jacking the thread, but saw mention of heaters. Rear heater in mine has never worked since I bought the truck 2 years ago, only the kid's sit the back and they wouldnt dare to moan. But anyone got any idea what could be the problem and how would I go about fixing it?

Do you mean it won't get hot?
There are two thin metal pipes that run under the truck independant of the front heaters, to the rear heater, these may be blocked.

You got it in one Vince. How would I go about checking to see if they are blocked and how would I clear the blockage should there be one.
