    Hi

I've just joined this site as I've just bought a 1994 3 litre diesel auto on the cheap. It was cheap because it isn't a minter so now I've got a couple of jobs to sort. Who's best to help?

First, the bonnet is higher on the kerb side than the drivers side. It's proud of the wing by about 5mm all the way down while the drivers side is flush. How can this be adjusted as the mechanics of it seem to be inside the bulkhead.

Secondly, it follows the camber of the road. On a left sloping camber it pulls left, on a right sloping camber it pulls right. It goes straight when its a level road. Any suggestions.

    Thanks.

The bonnet hinge is under the vent panel as you've noticed, its quite commen that it corrodes and the bonnet doesn't shut properly. Try plenty of WD40 in the hinge hole, and see if you can free it off. Otherwise you'll have to remove the vent panel. It comes off OK without disperbing the screen, just pull the clips out, remove the wipers and pull it off.

Get the alignment checked, and check for play in the idler arm, steering box and steering ball joints.

    Thanks.
