Have a look at this. I've got one for my truck but I can't comment on how good it is as it's still on the "to do" list

It's traps the oil from crankcase breather preventing the oil build up in the inlet tube.

it is designed to catch the oil in the vapour from your rocker cover breather to stop oil getting sucked back into the engine.

im going to have a go at making one from this i got last night

if it works well i shall be well chuffed.

Predictably he did a cracking job !

As a further aside does anybody know if it'll be OK to run with just this - I'm thinking about getting the original disconnected/removed to improve engine cooling under load

                    Cheers !

How about one of those aluminium drinks bottles with a drain off valve at the bottom?

Bob, I'd run a bigger one if its solo, I've fitted larger B&M Supercoolers and manual rads to a couple of automatic trucks.

We could also just try a bigger one inline with your original rad cooler still.

The rad with a fan is nice, but havn't been able to find one in the UK yet, I can get the Supercoolers locally though.

i think i will disconnect my rad oil cooler as my external one is more than up to the job.

Cheers Tony - I'm not too bothered yet, it's more of a last resort - I suspect that it'll be fine if I'm a bit more diligent about cleaning the mud out !
