heard about this on the jeremy vine show (actually the wife did and wants the credit)

They want to use mass buying power to secure cheap, 5 to 10p cheaper, fuel from a fuel supplier no cost just sign up and add to their cloat when they try to negotiate. Seem worth a try - but the gov will find a way of taxing it bstds

the thread title is something from the distance past. Fuel has now topped $74 a barrel today and wont get cheaper in the foreseable future unless
a) we all fall back in love with Iran
b) gov take a big tax drop
c) oil companies take a profits drop.

my money os goign on a being the most likely even after the iranian leader said he dosent belive fuel has hit it proper valuation yet!!

that said its worth the extra cost to drive a SURf and of course it going up for everyone -even those with small engined cars so trading down wont exactly solve the expensive fuel issue.
