Thought it was about time I posted some pics of our Surf after getting it a couple of weeks ago (mentioned here).

Taken today at work... before it started pi$$ing it down!

hehehe you know the trees planted all down one side of that road? my dad planted them!!!!!


and that wall you are rebuilding... i may have patched up some bits of it about 20 years ago!!!!! and some bits round on the a40 too...

Ahh, I see. Small world innit? I don't suppose you'd know anything about some old bottles we found buried there would you? Some REALLY old ones too. It looks like one is Victorian and the others almost certainly pre-date the 60's. Not that I'm saying you were around there in Victorian times! Ahem, shuffle. <Note to self... stop digging!!> Just wondered if you were aware of the history of the wall? When it was built etc.

Anyway, we've still got about another 30/40 yards or so to do on that wall... down to the gate at the corner of the field, so we'll be there a couple more weeks yet. If you're in the area, drop by and say hello.

i can confirm that any bottles i found, i kept....
i'm passing there most tuesdays, and if you are really lucky i might have my mad old dad on board!!!!

Cool. Not sure if we'll be there next Tues or not. We've got a couple of sites on the go right now so we're jumping between them but there's a good possibility I'll be around. If I'm on me' tod then I'll either be in the Surf or on me' motorbike. If we're both there, you'll see a blue Nissan Navara in the field.
