n/s steering idler

Just Got Back From Uk With The Surf And Noticed On The M6 Massive Steering Wobble, Just Had It Serviced New Breaks Pads Cv Joint Etc...took It To Get Tracked And The Bloke Said The Steering Idler On The Near Side Has Half An Inch Play In It And Needs Replacing...

Has Anyone Fitted One Of These? If So Is It A Big Job Or Easily Done As Ive Just Spent 700 Quid On Me Surf And Im Skint..

Also Dont Know If This Is Normal But First Start Up In The Morning Runs On Three Cylinders For 30 Seconds And Smokes A Bit Then Aftr That It Clears, Had The Glo Plugs Looked At And Mechanic Says There All Fine ....is It Poss Injectors???

Doesnt Loose A Drop Of Oil?

mine sounds rough until the oil pressure is up then its noisy for a bit. ive had new glowplugs and injectors. i do run on veg too but it still does it initially on diesel.
ive just put it down to a "well used" engine

replaced my trucks steering ilder not long ago
got one from roughtrax, it was an easy job to replace it, took me under 1hr
