Should you hand crank an engine if its been sitting around for 7 months as all the oil has run into the sump? I've a 1996 Hilux surf v6, petrol.

could try pouring a little fresh oil into the rocker cover, but it should be o.k. to start the engine, just don't rev it untill the oil has circulated round the engine. -

If it's been sitting for 7 months the first thing I'd do is change the oil - it'll probably be full of condensation (particularly with the climate in Mongolia
)
