Sony Cybershot DSC-P72 is wot i just got for xmas - apparently it was one of the Which? Best buys. Seems pretty good to me

bought my mum an olympus something 400
pretty foolfroof and simple
4 megapixel
just under 200 quid.

depends on what bells and whistles you want, but this takes a high quality pic and is pretty much point and shoot.
