Hello - New User

Hi All,

Just found this site and though I'd say hello. I have a 92 Surf 2.4 D ( yes I had to have the head replaced... ) and I'm thoroughly enjoying it as is the wife who now takes the Surf in preference to her own car if I'm not using it...

I'm finding this site to be a great resource - So far I've found out how to replace the dodgy stereo that only picks up Radio 2 and Virgin ( badly... ), what the nice pics and funny writing mean on that bit of card that's on the drivers side sun visor and what the ECT button does ( been bugging me for ages that one... ).

Nah just bin the stereo and get a UK version + patch lead for the wiring loom

and as for the ECT, I can't say that it does a great deal on mine. For a kick off it is awkward to get at while driving, and in between juggling the overdrive toggle it's terribly inconvenient to go grovelling around for that button just cos there is a hill ahead.

Does anyone actually use theirs?

I think the lads have been watching the screen for to long. We are use to people asking those questions.
