  • Dodgy brakes

Got a question and was wondering if anyone could help!
Does anyone know why when i put my breaks on it makes the cab judder, the brakes work fine. Is this normal on surfs or are my brakes on the way out?
    Any advice appreciated.Cheers!

Warped rotors, loose wheel bearings, worn steering components are some things to look at. Juddering is not normal.

I must confess mine does this too!!

I think the discs are warped on mine, i bought some new ones ages ago, but can't strike up the courage to try to fight them on. They judder alot more when trying to brake from 60/70 mph.

I really should get them sorted, cos i've been driving it since november with the juddering (whoops!)

Any idea how much a garage may charge to swap them over (i have the new discs and pads already).

            cheers,

What!? and I gave you a detailed description of how to do it as well.

If you can build a kit car, you can certainly replace your brakes!

OK, if i get some nice weather this week i'll have another crack at them!

Oh yeah, and i've had the kit car for 4 years, so i'm not that good at building that either!

                cheers for the instruction though.

My money is on a stuck front brake caliper. One piston will be seized but the adjoining is probably fine.

i think i have a sticky caliper for sure but i use the truck too often to pull it off and sort it.
