i would of thought so.being differant sizes means they will travel at a differant speed anyone correct me if i am wrong cause i aint quite with it

If the rolling diameter of the two tyres is similar then the 15" wheel would maybe do as an emergency only spare but there are too many unknowns to give a definitive answer. Was the truck originally supplied with 15 or 16" wheels? If 16" then you may find that the 15" spare won't fit at all.

I'd get another 16" for a spare.Tyre size matters more than rim size. A 15" and a 16" tyre may have a similar diameter but they will be different in other ways so this is not really safe to use for anything but an emergency spare at low speed. PCD on the rims will be the same regardless of size.

          Tyre Size

          Hi Guys
I'm a pretty newbie surfer, only had my truck a month or so but still got the big grin . My beastie also has 16" tyres and rims but has a 15" spare. Last week I had a rear tyre shred on me on the M4 travelling towards London (Scary!!). I called the AA because I wanted advice on the wheel size, the AA guy (damn nice bloke) changed the wheel and said should be ok for getting home. I continued up to London and returned home in the evening no probs and then got the tyre changed. Unfortunately I couldnt get the same Dunlop tyre as those already on so bought two new 16" to have matching treads across the truck. This means of course that I am now looking for a 16" wheel to put the other Dunlop onto. Anybody got one for sale? Also means I will have a 15" wheel and almost new Dunlop AT2 for sale. Any offers? need to get the 16" wheel first though before the 15" goes.

If the 15" spare is original then the best place for it is in a tyre shredder. It could be 12 years old and although never used could end up being quite dangerous. Tyres this old should never be used.
