Well we passed the MOT again today- the 3rd one since we got the Surf! No work to do again although advised that "grease leaking from balljoint" and "front tyres slightly worn on inner"
The emissions test came out at 0.64 (the limit is 3) - is this a pretty good score?

When mine went i was told i would need new shocks on the rear to pass next years but i replaced them almost straight away after he told me.

I got a 0.64 or something around there last mot

hmm. 3rd gen failed today for the 2nd time out of the 3 tests its had since i've owned it. poor handbrake performance (whats wrong with Park?), one headlight aimed too low (wtf!), a deteriorating brake hose and the steering rack gaiters were attached with cable ties, not the toyota metal clips?!?! Nevermind that it passed the last two MOTs with the same cable ties and the same headlight aim. Grr. Suppose that's what i get for taking it to a Toy garage for an MOT for the 1st time, instead of a normal garage. The good point is that they are shipping the metal clips and brake hose overnight for me so they can retest it tomorrow, otherwise i would have had to pay for another mot if it wasn't done tomorrow.

Advisory on N/S Outer Tie Rod End

expected the tyre but not he others, although the steering has been pulling to the left and a bit wobbly at times.

Only slight blot on the landscape - she has White LED sidelights, which have a bluish tint to them - he passed her but went tut tut.
