  • Hi Lift Accessories

    Been looking at these

    http://www.4by4connection.com/bl250.html

is the standard bumber on a 2nd gen strong enough to use for lifting / jacking - i'm getting a high lift jack soon as they seem so useful but can't seem to find a reasonable place on the surf where i could use it for recovery

    also these are available

I've seen those bumper hooks before , but I'm a bit dubious about them.

On the other hand those wheels hooks look like a good bit of kit.
Will they ship to the UK ?

The bumpers on the Surf are way too weak to use as jacking points, with a hi-lift and bumper hook arrangement the bumpers would collapse.

Those bumper hook attachments are designed for use on aftermarket heavy duty bumpers such as ARB's or tubular assemblies.

It might work on the front, but only right next the the bumper mounts as we've 'rested' the bumper ends on a rock reversing down a rock ledge awhile back and it bends easily, so don't do it near the edge. Also the rear bumper is only bolted the body work, not the chassis like the front, so thats a bit iffy to hang the truck off as well.
