Still running my 3ltr on 90% veg oil and 10% unleaded. Before doing this i was using veg and diesel mix, but found that if it was a bit chilly, it really clattered for about 3-5 mins. Now even when about 0-2 degrees i have none of the clatter associated when starting with veg oil, diesel mix. I think its the best kept secret around. Trust the Germans, as it was some German guys who told me about this at Beaulieu show back in the Autumn and i have been doing this ever since.

PS Should be a new supplier of bio diesel in the Norfolk area about April time. Will let everyone know nearer the time, contact details.

Today, Tuesday, quite cold even in London and just started car to pop down road. Started like a petrol car. No knocking at all. As you can imagine quite pleased with the result from mixing a bit petrol with veg oil.

Goes very thick and gloopy if you store it outside. All you need to do is take it in and leave it by a rad for an hour or so before you pour it in and it thins down nicely. Makes you realise what happens in the tank and around the injectors doesn't it.

errr yup - it looks horrible... i put it in anyway and let the fuel cat sort it. was just a bit smokey this morning.
tried the petrol thing and might go back to it yet, there was a reason why I stopped but I cant think what it is right now, i think it was not idling quite right.

I was having one of those days when nothing was going right. And then I put unleaded into my diesel escort, about 7 or 8 litres to be precise on a dry tank. Put about 25 litres of diesel on top to dilute it and haven't had a problem. Actually starts a little quieter!!

When the escort goes off the road in a little while some experimenting has to be done!
