    Hi i have the winter pack in the car, i need to give the batteries a charge over night but will need to dissconnect one then charge it up and then the other firstly which one is the main battery and do i need to take one particular one off first or can i disconnect any sorry if this is a dumb question but i am a dumb person..

    I think the drivers side is the main one but not sure. It dosen't realy matter which one you take off, as they are linked anyway.

            not sure if i am 100% right but i remember reading something about leaving one on or you have to reset the ECU maybe someone could put me right...

                Nope, it's o.k. to disconnect both. The only problem is re-tuning all the radio stations.

                  There is no main battery, they are both the same. I just charge them in the car, this way both will get charged at once.

                    Never disconnect mine! just charge them in situ, never had a problem on any of my cars doing it that way!!

                      car is in the middle of the drive and its threatening chucking it down so will dissconnect one and take it in garage like most garages mines for $$$$ bikes and anything elese i can throw in to take up space

                        Charged mine this week after leaving it all week with the reversing camera monitor on, just connected the charger with the batteries in situ no problems. I can't see what harm it could possibly do as that is all the alternator does anyway.
                        By the way I have also had both batteries off for several hours and not had to reprogramme or retune anything.
                        Not really the best idea to charge them seperately as the full one will then discharge into the flat one and leave you with two half charged batteries.
