Question to those on Veg

I may have got the wrong end of the stick here but:

How is Veg-oil cheaper? example

Veg-Oil = 47p per litre
Duty = 47p per litre

thats 94p per litre in total

or is it 47% of the 47p per litre


Veg-oil = 47p per litre
Duty = .47 * .47 => 22p per litre

therefore = 69p per litre in total

well im currently paying 27.1p per litre so same figures are
47p+27p = 74ppl

If I was paying 47ppl tax I wouldnt do it.
