  • Anyone interested in a bit of work

Don't know if the offer below interests anyone. We do work on the equipment on canals. every so often they send an instrument technician round testing things, but they can't go on thier own in case they fall in! normally they just send an apprentice or one of the labourers - but I think they are looking for a cheaper option.

It isn't a lot of money but then it isn't a lot of work - just driving about and walking quite a distance down canal towpaths carrying a toolbox. Just a week to start with but could become regular I guess

    Dave

PM or mail me if interested.

    Dear all,

Tony Aldred needs someone to assist him on a British Waterways Project for a week. They will get £5.50 ph only major requirement is they have a driving license. We need the person ASAP mainly to work as Health and Safety as Tony is working on Electrical items and on Canals. If someone knows someone who wants a weeks work that will not be that difficult let me know ASAP. Tony lives in Rotherham but if they live near M1 from office to Rotherham that will do. We would appreciate your help.

    Regards

    Simon

well, hes actually a canoe/kayak instructor.. but theres not much call for them in this country at this time of the year. (hes french, but speaks decent english and also has his own car and clean licence)
hes looking for anything manual, anything really thats outside or inside doing stuff rather than sitting in an office.
We both live in croydon, ( thats south of london) but my parents/family live in chesterfield so he can be based up there or down here.

if anyone is needing a handy man hes good at all sorts of stuff, including mechanics or moving stuff around. ( hes very strong from all the canoing and sport he does)
