me and the family like to go to waddington airshow, and somtimes farnborough,both are good shows ........the last few times we have been to waddington my mother gets a position in the disabled enclosure and that was great due to it being close to the runway,well as close as you can get anyway.....

Some interesting stuff to see up there anyway, all the E-3s lined up at the end of the airfield.

It had a certain 'built for the job' appeal about it, like the F-14. Russian jets tend to have that kind of look about them, the Mig 25 Foxbat being one of my personal faves.

Performance wise, it has to be the Lightning for sheer blood and guts power and climb rate!

Used to love wathcing Lightenings taking off, hare down the runway at a million miles an hour then stand on it's tail just after takeoff and head for the stars - what a plane, what a noise!!!
