Poor Smurf ...

Planning euro trip in B's mx5 in September
Heading down to Le Mans then La Rochelle, across to Clermont-Ferrand on to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc through the all important tunnel and finishing at Lake Garda. After a few days rest back through the tunnel then north to home
I know it looks like the route is already planned but we were just wondering whether anyone has been down that way and has any advice on what to see/do?

funny you should say that, it was a bit of carpentry that paid for the trip...
no idea any where to drink, last time i was there was in the days of the chamonix binmen...
