  • Wheres the wheel brace?

Thinking of changing round front and back wheels to even the tread but can only find my bottle jack under the rear seats! Is there a wheel brace hidden anywhere? also as i have a 4" lift will i need a few blocks to raise the jack?

I think you will find the brace in one of the cupboards in the back.

        Nope

Should be near the Jack under the rear seat. Should be a toyota tool kit (black vinal tool roll)

Deep socket (can't remeber size at mo) and a breaker bar from H*lf*rds because my 4-way wheelbrace doesn't fit under the back seat or in the cupboards.

Think you'll find a 19mm socket will fit. You'll also find that one of the extending type wheel braces is a good idea unless you use one of the multi-ended spiders as you'll need a fair amount of torque to move the wheel bolts.

I have a full tool roll with my car in the back cupbard drivers side ( as there is a hook and loop tingy in there to hold the roll. Despite having all the tools supplied... I still use my own wheel brace which is a big breaker bar and socket. the extra 8inches over the supplied bar makes all the difference between jumping up and down on the bar to undo the nuts and calmly tapping them undone with a firm hand.
Its definitely worth knowing you can undo your wheel nuts, you can guarantee you will need to change a wheel one day in the dark, in the rain, in the cold, probably on a terrible surface too... and the less stress there is the better.

go shopping and tool up with some decent tools!

Most Surfs with stock alloys are 21mm, aftermarket and original steels sometimes are 19mm though.

There was someone on here yesterday selling a complete tool roll. I'll have a look for it now.
