  • 3000 wt silicone oil

i dont know if this is any interest to any of you guys but i found a website for model r/c that can supply 3000 wt silicone oil from stock, i ordered mine about 1:30 am friday morning and they have just arrived this morning recorded delivery. i know that this oil can be obtained from toyota at not much more if any in price, but if you are like me ive ordered some from toyota 2 weeks ago and they are still waiting for the stock to come in.

so i looked about for some on the internet and this is what i got, its £ 4.95 a bottle inclusive of vat......there is no volume size on the bottle but i would estimate them to be about 50-60mls ( i will edit this post with more accurate volume when ive used a bottle) the postage was £2.37 for recorded delivery but that was for three bottles check out the link...........

having now checked the volume it is 100ml,s i was way of with my estimation doh!....

Silicone diff oil normally used in RC cars, its silicone oil, a little is used for the diffs in radio controlled cars. Also silicon shock oil used in the shocks. The different oils (3000wt, 200wt etc) gives a stiffer or not so stiff damper.
The higher the number the stiffer the oil.
Secondly its also used for the oil in the viscous fan on the Surf

Most RC shops stock it off the shelf.
Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.
