they say inspiration follows a smoke........ well, ive got the starter motor out of my surf and now I need inspiration (Like what the hell to do with it for instance)

Don't do it. If you have the fag you are a smoker.
Are you a smoker or a non smoker?

I used to smoke 20+ a day.
I have stopped now for 6 years. Still fancy a fag now and agin but as I say I am a non smoker.

oh. Ps.
Its the contacts don't you know. Put a new set in and it will be fine.
Don't forget to paint the starter as it will look and operate better.
Thats the theory that my electrical mechanic uses.

Everything works better with a fresh coat of paint, hehe. But dont have the fag you will start again if you do.

Fag was good! something about 4 month old fags that give them an almost joint like capacity...... Struggle? yes, big time. the contacts are burned and the wire from starter to bottom end contact is well knackered. Bloke in Bradistan recons on 40 quid to solder new lead and replace the contacts while i wait. seems better than 126 plus vat from Rtrax for a new one.

Oh Aye, us good Ilkley folks are just as ashamed of it as the rest of our countrymen, Lancs included. Mind you, what about Burnley ,Accrington and Colne these days?? Its like the UN there.
