  • Looking For Insurance !

Hi Guys and Gals! Just joined this site and it is very interesting

I am looking for a price on insurance for a HILUX that I have not yet purchased, I am toying about with the idea.

The trader tells me that it is a jap imported 3.0 TD AUTO on a P reg and has done about 60k miles.

I am intending to use the vehicle for work and also pleasure both of which on a 50/50 basis and I shall be carrying tools at certain times as I am a self employed sparkie, anyone also in this area of use?

    Tesco
Cheepish, but if you have an accident, they don't pay out much!

        lifesure

without sounding like a 'diamond insurance' extra

lifesure seem to be doing some good deals at the mo'

we only insured the 2.4 the other month and they were indeed helpful

Well done mate.......... nice car. a shame to part with such a beast, even if they do have more electronics than a space shuttle and drive themselves. They are still quick (ish) to a point, and very good fun.

Tomorrow the seeds of doubt will begin to germinate!!!!! and a month from now you will be missing it!

Thanks for all you info and one stray post above ?

I have tried tesco and for some reason cannot find the vehicle, even though it is listed ?

I have also tried jigsure.com and they come out at £522 , is that good based on the fact that i am 33, no convictions and over 10 years NCB.

I am not sure what everyone else is paying ? Considering it will ba a 50/50 slpit for work and pleasure.

As I said http://www.lifesure.co.uk/ were the best out of all that I tried.

                    Good luck.

                      Good luck.

Just changed over to Lifesure myself after 4 years with Direct Line.

Quoted £350.00 for fully comp and protected NCB based on 30yr old, 4yrs NCB, commuting and personal use, parked on street.

I had to show proof of Immobiliser though, but I think that is standard with Imports.

                      A-Plan were also competitive.

I think one of the sticky threads answers most of the questions about insurance and also goes on to say if you mention this forum to Lifesure they may give a small discount.

Think the Random post was refering to me changing my signature to say "Nissan Skyline - Now sold." Don't mean to hijack, but i sort of regret selling her, though gonna get started on the kit car next week, so should have more high speed shenanigans (spelling?) come the summer.

good luck with the insurance - try adrian flux too, sometimes good, sometimes bad.

                          cheers,

Yes, sorry for the confusion, I was referring to the sale of the Skyline.

And I am sure it will be missed.
