funny pics

right just want to create the odd collage of pics involving
people+animals heads, that sort of thing really

get as far as putting up a pic of fish say,

then tracing around head with selection tool,
but then, where do you store that for a minute while selecting a mates picture
to attach it to?
and

when matching sizes, how do you get indivual pics out of their windows?

the bit following that, where you 'clone' it a bit, I think I can do
