Could be, I'm certainly not saying that loss of mpg or power is definitely due to injectors, just that they are a likely culprit. Its always possible that even with perfect injectors there could still be some degree of loss.

I wonder if Doctoral is still browsing the forums? Following his elsbett conversion last year he has injectors specifically designed for 100% veg-oil, he may be able to offer some insight.
