If that happened in Northern Ireland everyone that was in the traffic queue would be claiming compensation!

Whiplash is a coupla grand minimum!

No wonder we pay so much car insurance!

Not a pleasant thing to get, painful and very annoying!

Had it once, you have my sympathy!

Oh its gonna get so much worse before it gets better!!
1 year and 1 week ago exactly I was involved in my first ever accident in my lovely Mitsu FTO. Some dozy old dear was looking in her mirror and accelorating towards a roundabout where i was waiting to join. Needless to say she chose not to swerve into the bus lane, but instead to lock her wheels and stove into the back of my lovely car! it was shortened by 18 inches and written off, as was the car that she shunted me forward into. I was ambulanced to hospital, but no breakages thankfully. Suffered with the whiplash aches for 2 weeks, then another 4 weeks with major headaches before heading back to work. Since then the headaches started again in October, and I'm still really suffering. Not been in work since the end of October (still geting paid and they're being very good about it though) which is a bit of a bugger.

I just hope its over alot quicker than mine. good luck!!

          cheers,

          Mart
Just trying to raise my postcount!

True it will get stiffer and hurt more increasingly for a week. Try Ibroprofen for the pain.
Similar thing happened to me a few years ago but I was stopped in a queue of traffic on a motorway. Wrote off the car (scenic) so that’s why I drive a Surf.

Hope you make a full recovery soon

            Steve

Oh Ps. I have been told by one insurance company that they could not give a competitive quote as I claimed over 12k from the other guy for car and personal injury x 2. That don't hurt but stinks as it was not my fault.

And the motto of the story is, always drive a Surf.

I remember that Bikenuts on here had a ford escort fail to stop and run straight up the back of him pretty quick.

It was a serious accident, it scratched the bumper AND the spare wheel holder. Don't think he had any whiplash though.

Yep I was fine, despite looking long and hard (very hard; I’ve got a 58 litre LPG tank where the under slung spare normally goes) I couldn’t find any damage to the Surf – unless you count removing mud. Poor sod in the Escort wasn’t so lucky he was pushed into me by a Golf that hit him going FAST – we both heard it coming and I was watching in my mirror as it hit, and saw him shaken like a rag doll forwards and back, when I phoned a day or two later to confirm I’d no damage he was in a neck brace and could hardly move.

Thanks to everyone that wished us a Speedy recovery, Me, the wife & our Granson thankfully weren't hurtonly shaken, the same could not be said of me daughter who is still suffering/recovering slowly.
We wish you all Involved in all Accidents the best O Luck, GET BETTER SOON.
                          ps.
Some 15years ago my Wife was Hit Head On, he reversed up & *ucked off,
but left his Front number plate at the scene great we thought !! not so, not tracable!!!!
Her Astra was written Off & the wife's Insurace Company persued it through MIB or ABI, the Finace was paid off & a small amount of cash.
My wife's old Insurace Company dropped her & wouldn't Cover again for five years only at a ridiculous Amount, more than any of her cars were ever worth...
