Don't really know what to ask...or what i need to know....but hence why i've registered.....i want one!!!!! I've got a few months grace to learn as much as i can, so any help would be most appreciated!

All i know is i love the Hilux surf 2.4,Diesel, Automatic,....just like this fella:

and the codlord came forth with answers to smooth the furrowed brow... http://www.showmesome.info/hilux/info/faq.htm
and yea there wasnt much wailing or gnashing of teeth..
if your mates just got a 2.4, imagine how great you would feel with a 3.0 ltr..
      it's in me shed, mate.

there isnt much differance in the models as the japs put all the little extras on apart from the ssrg which has recaro seats

                Welcome to the mad house.

If I was you I would consider the 3.0lt version. There are more around, do roughly the same mpg, but have more power.

I've got the SSRG. Has hard/soft suspension, sports mode, cruise control, recaro seats, air con etc, etc. How nuch money are you planning on spending? Have a good look at lots before buying one, and a test drive is a must. Coz once driven, always bitten.

                Cheers.

                Look at some of these.

                  a word about the budjet!!!!

                  dear all...ta for posts.

                  i forgot to say that my budget isn't massive......ideally £2,500- £3,000 to £4,000 max

not much i know........wish it was vastly more......such is life!

I guess i'm looking at an early 90's the bottom of the range 2.4 ssr model?

                  Any recommendations?

I have a recommendation - take a look at Pop's fine vehicle, going for £2,500 - see the for sale section.

                    It's also on Fleabay

recaro seats are not a plus point i dont like mine, to firm and low.

dont know about your area but around here there are loads for sale ranging from £1850 to £9000.
within a fifty mile range of me there must be something in the region of 25 surfs for sale, possibly more
                      good luck
                      you wont regret it
ITS NOT MILES PER GALLON---- ITS SMILES PER MILE

With £4k you should find a decent 3.0. Look in Autotrader for an idea of prices. It's a buyers market at the moment.
