rattly exhaust

Hi there

Not posted for a while - wot a lot of new members! Anyway, my exhaust has started rattling against the chassis on accerration when I have passengers in the back. The garage man put a rubber bung in the supporting thingy but that didn't work. Do you think I need new springs? or is there anything else I can try.

Sounds like one of the rubber hangers has come off or broken. Try asking Kwik-fit or an exhaust place if they could have a look. The hanging rubbers only cost pence and they may even fit it if you flutter your eyelids at them!

my exhaust was chattering on the underside of the chrome rear bumper till last week, cost me a fiver to get bent straight

When my exhaust was rattling, it turned out that it was splitting fom the backbox. Make sure it's all in one piece!
