Spotted nice 4th Gen on holiday

Just got back from me hols,
Spotted this nice 4th gen while in Seefeld Austria.It was parked up in the carpark at the bottom of the mountain.

it is. according to press releases and they also have the extra set of seats that lift up against the side windows in the back [now seven seater as option]

Looks a nice truck. I wonder what year it is? I had a look at the new Toyota pick up at the dealers last week. I don't like what they have done with it. It's too rounded and I think it looks ugly. The best "NEW" truck I have seen that looks closest to the Surf is the Mitsubishi Shogun sport. I saw one the other day, all black, privacy glass etc, looked pretty cool.

Initially though it was the FJ55 [if remember normally referred to as 'THE PIG'...The GX looked like it was built like a tank and quite large when I got to it side on.

Definatley, far too much moulded plastic to break when you slide into a tree...

Give me a 2nd Gen any day!

4th Gens are ugly. There, I've said it! I to like the Mitsi Sport, but I've heard that ride quality is terrible as it based on the Warrior pick up suspension. I was pondering changing up to a 3rd Gen Surf the other day, then I saw what a 4.2 VX Landcruiser can do on tickover off road ......... WOW!
