  • SSR-G...Proud new owner saying HI!!!

    Hi Guys,

I posted on here about some problems that my girlfriends Dad was having with his 2.4Td SSR-X a while back.

We had our first baby born last week, a baby girl! Well chuffed.

So I decided that I needed to buy a decent vehicle for carting the littleun around, also I've got dogs and I was considering an estate car but having owned a Surf before I decided to get another one seeing as the space is cavernous.

Well I found one and I should be taking delivery next week sometime. It's a gorgeous Cherry coloured 1994 3.0 litre TD SSR-G with Recaro interior with manual box.

I'll post some pics when I get my hands on it, but I am made up. I couldn't believe the power difference between the 2.4 and the 3.0 litre.

So looks like I'll be posting more frequently from now on.

p.s. mine climbing up the side of the Great Orme in Llandudno

and before you start the rights and wrongs of offroading on private/public/protected areas i was installing CCTV for the RSPB to view gillimots nesting on the cliffs and my surf was used for pulling a cable dispenser, if you are interested the surf is an excellent work horse

Forgot to mention that Surfs are great workhorses too. That's an interesting drystone wall in the background, totally different coping to the walls around SW Scotland which are "level" as opposed to a ragged finish, nice pic.ps this how drystone walls look up here, this is a wall I built a couple of years ago.

incase you were woundering the two in the pics are buring a fiber optic cable along the base of the wall for said camera, because its in a protected area and digging the cable in the ground wasnt aloud so we had to pull back the grass from the wall base and tuck it in. 2.1 kms in total, the boss quoted three days to do the job, in the end it took just over a week.
