  • PC geeks, help needed................

Why has my PC started open all new links in a tiny little window? Its bleeding annoying having to Maximize everytime I open a new window.

    XP home edition.

    Help!

    Cheers.

    Hi Tony,

Not admitting to being a geek but here's what you need to do.

Open the link so you get the new window. Click and drag the bottom right hand corner to resize the window to desired. Close the window using the red X top right.

If you reopen the link it should be at the desired window size.

    Rich.

P.S. No one can tell you why it happened, its Microsoft init!

Hmmmmm, it's not just on XP either. I'm still on ME, and it happened on mine for a while too - shame I can't remember how I got round it!!

              Tony

Keep doing like rich said. eventually it will sort itself out. alternatively delete the cache & history. it's an undocumented feature (bug) and mine does it too on XP and my work pc on win2k and my old one on win 98

              cheers

arrange your window so it's not maximized to full size (i.e you can move it around, right click in the blue 'header' bar, click size (your mouse arrow will change to a 4way arrow thing,) move the mouse to the bottom right corner of the window until the 4way arrow changes to a two way diagonal arrow, resize your window, and voila, your window is resized. or if you want a permantly fullsized window, right click blue thing etc, and click maximize. (i'm not a geek or nowt.)
