Can anyone find a statement to say that bullbars on the fronts of 4x4's have no extra significance to the number of deaths or injuries on the roads??

Or anything which is not negative towards bullbars?

Can you put up a link?

I have bull-bars on the front of two of my vehicles, However i cant see that they would be anything other than a bad thing on a collision with a pedestrian.
The thing is i thought about this post and can only see that tubular steel wrapped around the front of a car that is about waist high, could only do more damage than good. Will i remove mine after this posting?...........No as i drive a car built like a tank to protect me and my family inside the said vehicles and like the look of them, but am not going to argue that they are a safety feature or are not potentially dangerous.

At the risk of causing offence, here's my two-penn'orth

Job number 1 on the Surf when I got it was to bin the basher-bar.

They are probably nowhere near as dangerous as some groups make out, but they can cause problems. I had no use for mine so off it came.

Yep, Mine went in the bin. As far as I can see the standard bull bar is just man enough to break legs and to concentrate an impact on two small points, but not man enough to protect the vehicle from much - You want a proper which bumper or nothing

My A-bar grew into a full bull-bar! Now everyone can see the shinny bling and get out of my way......No seriously its like everything else,a bull-bar will hurt if you hit folks with it,just be careful not to,then the anti's wont have nuffin to moan about.
