  • 2.4 Surf wheels and tyres

I have a 2.4 Surf, with standard tyres (15" alloys with jap tyres) if i change my tyres what should i buy, and will it improve my fuel consumption. i never use my surf off road, has anybody any idea of prices, makes etc and how many more mpg i can expect, and will the surf drive any better.
My tyres are 265/70/15 landair AT Traction (jap **** i think) any ideas anyone

If you only use on road then you would be better changing to H/T rather than A/T tyres unless you want the "chunky" look. HT's are road tyres and should give better grip and mpg on road. Check out the Roughtrax website http://www.toyotahilux.com/ - Barry has some reasonably priced HT's in at the moment (about £45-£50 each) which should suit. I'm going to get some as soon as I wear out my Yokohama HT's (if ever).
