Thanks for the advice, I think I'll start as you suggest with a code reader and see what that shows up. everyone that I have spoken to so far has mentioned oxygen sensors (apparently there are 4 on this engine) & temperaure sensors. your the fist person to mention the air flow meter. I'll let you know what the final outcome is if I ever get to the bottom of it, Regards, Shep,

Forgot to mention, No engine light are coming on.

There will be an Oxy sensor on each exhaust manifold, near the flange joint and another one (sub sensors) after each CAT.
Some sensors on these engines don't tigger the check light, it's usually something else related to or reliant on them.

I have recently had a full "Cat Back" stainless exhaust fitted (flaming expensive it was too) Even thought the problem existed beforeI had the new exhaust, will the fact that it is a cat back sytem interfere with the Oxy sensors in any way? Regards, Shep,
