    i,m looking at a Jan 1995 surf m reg is this new or old shape,also it,s a 3 ltr engine .how can you tell the difference and what should you look for.

    2nd gen drop tailgate . 3rd gen lift up tailgate .

          2nd gen, fuel filler on the drivers side, 3rd gen on the passengers side.

          Unless you'r a rear seat passenger behind the driver.

          Then it's on the other side..
