Oshkosh M1070 HET

Here is a few pictures of the Oshkosh M1070 Heavy Equipment Transporter I was overtaking on the M4 today. There was a packet of eight. They were all towing the Challanger 2 MBT.

This is the ultimate truck, and believe it or not, the drivers are Civillians. They are provided under a PFI agreement. The agency involved is Fasttrax. You have to join the TA if you want to drive them, and if there is no work driving them, then you do local work for the agency at various companies. They are looking for drivers now!!

I know the Police have towed Artics to the side of the road with the Disco when they have broken down.

But a Surf weighs sod all, and the Oshkosh has 700BHP to play with!!
