I want to get a roof rack sent from Lincoln to Burgess Hill (near Brighton) but the cost of sending it via the parcel people I have tried - if they will send it at all due to it's size is proving prohibitive:

    I've tried:
    parcel2go(DHL)
    postvan
    easyparcelworldwide

I'm just short of suggesting they stick it on the top of their van so they can also carry more parcels to deliver...

Has anyone got any other suggestions for couriers that they've used that can send bulky items cheap?

    The dimensions are 140 x 120 x 20cm.

    Thanks in advance.

      interparcel

Assuming a weight of 10kg - they are quoting £50.

Check Yell.com for local couriers. Usually they're cheaper than the big boys as they don't have to charge to get to your place to pick up the parcel first.

Give Parcelforce a go , they were the cheapest when we needed to send something bulky ( DHL quoted £547 ; Parcelforce £25 )
